Director

MCCS is seeking a spiritually gifted, visionary leader with a strong sense of God’s calling to serve as MCCS Head of School and lead all functions and operations of the school. The successful HOS will build upon the work of the board and volunteer committees to open the MCCS in August 2018.  The HOS is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the school, which includes managing committees and staff as well as developing business plans in collaboration with the board.  Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.  The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

The HOS must possess the following qualifications.

  • Profess Christ as Savior, and share the theological beliefs expressed in the MCCS Statement of Faith and Core Values.
  • Display spiritual maturity and live an exemplary life as a follower of Christ. (This can be shown through pastoral and ministry leaders’ letters of recommendation.)
  • Demonstrate experience and capability leading and directing operations of a mission-oriented organization (preferrably one with an educational emphasis).
  • Is well-connected to the local community.
  • Has experience working with teachers and children, as well as managing volunteers.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen with the ability to manage the school within the Board’s overall goals, policies, and financial budget.
  • Display the ability to delegate and manage delegated tasks.
  • Possess strong organizational and communication skills.

In addition, the HOS must:

  • Cultivate a joyful, God-glorifying environment that embraces creativity, innovation, continuous improvement and the open exchange of ideas among the team.
  • Hold faculty/staff, students, and parents accountable to expectations in a loving, grace-filled manner.
  • Advance the MCCS mission/vision, and work with the board to create short and long-term strategic plans and operating budgets.
  • Implement strategic plans and manage the operating budget.
  • Promote growth in enrollment and academic excellence.
  • Develop and maintain a strong, collaborative partnership with the community, families, donors, and local churches.
  • Embrace and commit to the mission, by-laws and guiding principles of MCCS.
  • Function as an organized, effective leader who attracts/retains, inspires, develops, and empowers highly qualified faculty/staff.
  • Establish and maintain an organizational structure that enables effective and healthy functionality of the school while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • Communicate regularly with the community, board, staff, parents, donors, and volunteers via phone, email, Facebook, newspaper articles, and the website.
  • Participate in professional development training deemed appropriate by the board, and work with teachers to ensure they have the training and supplies they need.

Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade Teachers

MCCS is seeking educators for our K-3 classrooms. The school is scheduled to open in August 2018. The following are the tasks/skills associated with the roles:

  • ​Profess Christ as Savior, and share the theological beliefs expressed in the MCCS Statement of Faith and Core Values.
  • Degree in eduation or related field, and certification through the state or a private certification program.
  • Ability to connect with students in a relational way.
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Solid understanding and belief in the MCCS Statement of Faith
  • Expertise in the integration of faith and learning.
  • Experience educating children.
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching the Christian faith in every subject, while instilling a love of learning in the students.
